Bodyweight "Run and Gun" Workouts

Want an incredible fat-burning, full-body muscle-blasting workout that you can do just about anywhere? Looking for the best exercise to lose weight fast?? Then go jogging and, once your muscle are warmed up, do at least a couple sets of 4 or more of the following exercises...

Wind sprints.
Stairs/steps running.
Hill sprints.
Jumping.
Pushups.
Explosive pushups.
Burpees.
Pullups.
Muscle-ups.
Bodyweight squats.
Rock climbing.
Plyometric box jumps.
Hand-stands.
Inverted rows.
Leapfrog burpees.
Pistol squats.
Just about any interesting bodyweight exercise you can think of that utilizes the things around you.

A jog combined with several intense sets of bodyweight exercises like the ones listed above is possibly the single most effective fat loss workout you can do. I call them "Run and Gun" workouts. You should give them a try if you want to burn fat and lose weight fast, in a way that will explode your metabolism and add lean, toned, sexy muscle to your body quickly! Just make sure you're always moving and keep rest to minimum. Absolutely no sitting or standing around!

Hindu Pushups: Burn Fat & Build Functional Upper-Body Strength

Hindu pushups -- also known as "dands" -- are definitely one of the best exercises to build strength, develop arm/shoulder flexibility, increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories/fat all at the same time. In many ways they're superior to normal pushups and are highly recommended for anyone who wants to create a great-looking body with lots of "functional" strength.

Think it looks easy to do? Try doing a few sets of 20-30 reps and you might just change your mind! :-)

Creative Burpee Bodyweight Training

One of the great things about doing bodyweight training to burn fat, build muscle, and get super-fit quickly is the high level of creativity it allows for. Burpees are one of the most effective total-body exercises you can do. But sometimes they can seem boring. The key to making them more fun -- and even more effective -- is to change things up constantly, both in terms of how you do them and where you do them. Here's a quick example of what I'm talking about:

A Quick and Easy 20-Minute Workout

Only have about 20 minutes to do a fat-burning workout? Give this one a try..

  • 5-Minute Warmup: Jumping jacks, light jogging, and/or light shadow boxing
  • 3-Minutes Jumping Rope
  • 2 Sets Hanging Leg Raises OR Crunches (10-15 reps per set, Approx. 1-2 minutes total)
  • 3-Minutes Jumping Rope
  • 3 Set of Burpees (5-7 reps per set, Approx. 2-4 minutes total)
  • 3-Minutes Jumping Rope

That's it! A fast, energizing, and fat-destroying workout you can do at your local park. Give it a try!

Note: The only "rest" in this workout is the few seconds it takes to switch between exercises or sets. Keep your heart-rate up, break a sweat, and burn that body fat!
