Hindu pushups -- also known as "dands" -- are definitely one of the best exercises to build strength, develop arm/shoulder flexibility, increase lean muscle mass, and burn calories/fat all at the same time. In many ways they're superior to normal pushups and are highly recommended for anyone who wants to create a great-looking body with lots of "functional" strength.
Here's a great video that shows how to do hindu pushups:
Think it looks easy to do? Try doing a few sets of 20-30 reps and you might just change your mind! :-)

One of the great things about doing bodyweight training to burn fat, build muscle, and get super-fit quickly is the high level of creativity it allows for. Burpees are one of the most effective total-body exercises you can do. But sometimes they can seem boring. The key to making them more fun -- and even more effective -- is to change things up constantly, both in terms of how you do them and where you do them. Here's a quick example of what I'm talking about:
Now that's a great burpee variation. Give it a try and see how good you feel!
Doing creative free-flowing bodyweight-only workouts are a great way to burn fat, lose pounds, build muscle, and create functional strength. The best part is that bodyweight exercises can give you a total-body workout in a very short amount of time... and you can do them just about anywhere!

The pullup is an amazing full-body exercise that builds muscle, develops tons of functional strength, and can burn lots of body fat while giving you that sexy "V" shape that everyone wants. Did you know that pullups can even be used for a type of high-intensity "cardio" exercise? You just need to know how to do Crossfit-style kipping pullups. Check out this video:
Looking for a single exercise that builds your back and arm muscles while developing tons of "functional" strength? Hammer grip pullups may be what you're searching for. They are an amazing bodyweight exercise that provide a lot of benefits.
Want "six pack" abs? The first step is to lower your body fat significantly... probably to single digit levels if you really want defined ab muscles. The second step is to strengthen your core muscles. But don't think that crunches, situps, and leg raises are the only exercises for getting a 6 pack! One of the best ways to strengthen your core, prevent injuries, and increase "functional" strength -- while improving your abdominal muscles at the same time -- is to do intense bodyweight-only exercises on an unstable surface, such as an exercise ball.
Make the world your gym! No matter what any marketer tries to tell you, you really don't need any type of home gym, fitness gadget, or even a gym membership in order to lose fat, build muscle, develop functional strength, and create a great-looking body fast. You just need your own bodyweight and some creativity!
2 Sets Hanging Leg Raises OR Crunches (10-15 reps per set, Approx. 1-2 minutes total)
3-Minutes Jumping Rope
3 Set of Burpees (5-7 reps per set, Approx. 2-4 minutes total)
3-Minutes Jumping Rope
That's it! A fast, energizing, and fat-destroying workout you can do at your local park. Give it a try!
Note: The only "rest" in this workout is the few seconds it takes to switch between exercises or sets. Keep your heart-rate up, break a sweat, and burn that body fat!
Want to lose tons of body fat, get super fit, develop lots of "functional strength"... really fast... and all for free? Then do burpees at least twice a week. Almost no exercise workouts the entire body as well or as quickly as the good old burpee... aka the "#1 prison workout" exercise.
